5-Day Intensive Film Production Course
Day 1 — Foundations of the Camera Department
Students are introduced to professional film set workflow, camera department hierarchy, call sheets, set
etiquette, camera basics, measuring, and focus fundamentals while learning the importance of
professionalism, awareness, and communication on set.

Day 2 — Lenses, Camera Builds & Equipment Workflow
Students learn professional lens handling, camera builds, support systems, filters, matte boxes,
troubleshooting, media workflow, and organization techniques while practicing clean, calm, and efficient
camera department workflow.

Day 3 — Focus Pulling, Slating & On-Set Execution
Hands-on exercises focus on slating, marks, rehearsals, focus pulling, lens handoffs, communication, and
full camera builds. Students rotate through 1st AC and 2nd AC responsibilities while working under realistic
production pressure.

Students participate in a full production simulation modeled after a real commercial set while rotating
through 1st AC, 2nd AC and 3rd AC positions. The day combines teamwork, troubleshooting,
